A new show written by Sally Lewis
Sally writes: “I’m fascinated by the role’s women accept throughout their lives. As we age so these relationships shift, some will continue their caring role, looking after parents and grandchildren, whilst others seek new independence, freedom and adventure.
What happens when the core carer of the family decides it’s time for change?
The inspiration behind this play was acknowledging the frustrations and guilt associated with making these adjustments.”

Counting Turtles was part of Pipeline which began in January 2024 and is run by Lighthouse Poole in association with Dorset Scriptwriters. The aim is to provide a platform for writers and a space for new work to develop. It’s a place to gather, present, socialise and respond to what writers need. It’s an encouraging space where great work can develop!
