OUR SILENT WORLDS

A new solo show to be performed by Holly Cassidy. It will be written by Holly Cassidy and Linda Morse and explores mother and daughter relationships.

It follows a family of three women, grandmother, daughter and granddaughter and the relationships between them. The play examines the challenges of motherhood and daughterhood and how the cultural, social and political climates of the times impacts parenting and womanhood.

Postnatal depression, inherited belief systems and trauma are key themes in the play. As part of the research, we will hold writing workshops for mothers interested in contributing to discussion and writing on these topics.  Concurrent with these the story will be woven together using a blend of text, physicality, soundscapes and animation.

HUGE SUCCESS! We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded funding from Arts Council England for Research and Development of this Project.
